The impact of family socioeconomic status on prosocial behavior: a survey of college students in China

Abstract College students’ prosocial behaviors have been shown to help them attain honor, achieve happiness, and improve their social adaptation. This study was designed examine the mediating roles of parent-child attachment emotion regulation self-efficacy in relationship between family socioeconomic status behaviors. A survey conducted among 458 college students randomly selected from six universities two Chinese provinces characterized by a medium level higher education development. The model verified structural equation modeling mediation effect testing methods. revealed that had positive on self-efficacy, but no direct behavior. Moreover, emotional both mediated influence behavior students. Finally, affected through chain self-efficacy.
